Both DBs serves the according to the business needs, both have their advantages and disadvantages depends on their roles, one is inmemory appliance, one is simple traditional OLAP or OLTP support DB, one supports both one answer your query in ms one answers in min or hours... I guess question should be specific to some term,

HANA is in-memory database delivered with its appliance, can compress the data at its optimized size which helps to lower the size of DB to be used in current application with its respective functionality, Where as Oracle have index base performance improvement terminology and can run on any of the Os/server, bit of complex kid of administration and maintenance as compare to HANA DB
