I am rebranding my online shop and need to change the name I originally created it with. Has anyone dealt with this before? What's the easiest way for me to do this? Can I without creating a whole new shop?

Yes, you can change your stores name as long as you are not paying back a cash advance given by Shopify. If you’re currently in repayment you can’t change your name until it’s paid in full or settled. Other than that head on over to your settings and change away. Update your SEO’s too.

Log in to your Shopify store admin and go to Settings and click on general. Under store details your find where you can change your Store name. Change it to what you want and click on save.

We have done that for a lot of eCommerce brands, well this is a general practice. Cause most of the entrepreneur start without any proper plan and lack of knowledge in branding.
So if you’re rebranding the company then you don’t really need to redevelop the store or website from the ground.
Just change the domain name, change the logo and color scheme as per your new brand identity.
As you’re on Shopify you can easily change the name in preference and change the domain. That’s it!
But yes for some points you will want to change the user experience of the website and the brand experience. But that’s not necessary at the starting.
Start the process with baby steps and you’ll know the approach to take in future.
