My SQL developer often hangs when complex queries are running.Even if one session hangs,I would not be getting to access other windows due to application getting stuck. What is the best way to gain back access or close only the particular hanging session without closing all sessions?

I have a problem with sqldeveloper >4.2 and oracle 10g: SQL Developer does not display the DBMS server output, neither in the connected DBMS Output window nor in the Script Output window. I solved using oracle 4.2. Is this the only way to solve this problem? Can't I use sql developer >4.2... Mehr erfahren

I'm new to SQL, but am learning it for a work project. Would this be a good product to try? I'm considering PhpMyAdmin and MySQL.
