After using Adobe Illustrator for many years, I was relieved to find that PAD operated in a very similar way. Because of this, the program feels very intuitive to me. Even some of the commands use the same shortcuts! All of the big-name pattern software is difficult, and take many years to master. Mastering PAD takes very little time, and there is nothing I can't do with it. I mainly work with knits & activewear, but can see that wovens would be just as simple.
