Sierra

|Sierra ILS
I like some of the flexibility of the Sierra system. I really like being able to search for library patrons through the barcode on their card, via their name, and via their address. I like being able to help them search for books through the system and place a book on hold for them. The syetem allows me to check out a book to a patron via the books barcode by scanning it or by typing it in manually. I am also able to update their library card info in the system by accessing their record and editing it.

Eine ideale und intuitive Lösung für akademische Bibliotheken

|Sierra ILS
Ich habe Sierra über mehrere Jahre in zwei verschiedenen Bibliotheken genutzt, beginnend als studentische Hilfskraft. Die grundlegenden Ausleihfunktionen in Sierra haben eine leichte Lernkurve, und ich fühlte mich schnell kompetent. Studentische Hilfskräfte an meiner aktuellen Institution haben es ähnlich einfach, Sierra zu erlernen. Einige Jahre nach meiner Position als studentische Hilfskraft, als ich eine neue Stelle an einer anderen Institution als festes Personal begann, konnte ich problemlos dort weitermachen, wo ich aufgehört hatte, und neue Fähigkeiten in verschiedenen Funktionen in Sierra hinzufügen. "Create Lists" erweist sich als absolut entscheidend und sehr hilfreich bei unseren Bemühungen, unsere Sammlung durch Regalüberprüfung zu inventarisieren.

Easy to use ILS System

|Polaris ILS
I have used it in two library systems so far and it's easy to use. Makes cataloging very easy.
