Perforce ist das am vollständigsten ausgestattete Versionskontrollsystem, mit dem ich gearbeitet habe. Sie können so gut wie jedes Szenario lösen, das Ihnen einfällt. Helix ist eine großartige Alternative zu anderen Git-Diensten, da jedes Projekt, das Sie erstellen, privat und kostenlos ist. Meine einzige wirkliche Beschwerde über Helix ist, dass ihr Versionierungs-Client (P4V) dazu neigt, Probleme zu verursachen. Als ich mein Repository zum ersten Mal einrichtete, entschied es sich, es an System32 zu senden, anstatt an das von mir angegebene Ziel. P4V scheint auch das Stashen oder Verwerfen von Änderungen nicht zu mögen, was es schwierig machen kann, konsistent neue Daten aus Ihrem Projekt zu haben. Don't expect to use it like Dropbox, it's not as easy as dropping files on a directory. The same goes for developers used to other VCS. Coming from git was not smooth.

I enjoy the fact that minimal adoption is simple, still using git and the tooling around the base code repository management that most developers are used to. All the other tooling on top is amazing, when used properly. Without a proper adoption or internal champion, the software gets mistreated and used only for git repo usage. This isn't a fault of the software per-se, but the adoption process of the software. I would love to see more integrations with 3D modeling and audio tooling, as I work in video games.
