i have faced some troubles while working in plumbing (drainage part) . issues with fittings and you cant do spooling process as like fabrication and no so good with shop drawing too overall it is good software but some modification is needed
It provides many useful mep service specific design function like buildeswork opening tool and split segment tool for revit and autocad. It provides clash detection options within revit.
MagiCAD is a really good idea, but from my point of view, it is not implemented properly. I face a lot of difficulties and open questions during my work. And basically, I have nobody to ask, cause MagiCAD is not a widespread tool.
