Open Dental is very customizable while keeping its learning curve very friendly.
The software isn’t intergraded with NEA to send claims. There isn’t a way to mesh all office information to one data base (if patient went from one office to the other). Can’t see xrays through the software have to use something else.
Practice Works was the easiest dental software I've ever used. It did not take me long to easily utilize the program. I trained for a few days and found I could navigate the program easily.
The software has a limit of one person accessing a chart or its corresponding records at a time. So the doctor can't be in the chart while the front desk is trying to schedule the patient, or the front desk can not access the insurance while the chart is...
