Many will stick with the free version of git as it gets the job done. Unfortunately, it's also not better or maybe only slightly better than Sourcetree. Sourcetree customers will not switch to git tower.

To me the code merge feels not so intuitive and difficult to perform. I take backup and discard local files and get new files and do the merge manually.
