Question on: PowerReviews
[How can PowerReviews be trusted by consumers when companies can unpublish unfavorable reviews?](/discussions/34711-how-can-powerreviews-be-trusted-by-consumers-when-companies-can-unpublish-unfavorable-reviews)

I want to know why consumers should trust companies that use PowerReviews to manage their reviews since companies can simply unpublish negative reviews?

Great question! That's actually a common misconception. Authenticity and transparency are at the center of our work, so our industry-leading moderation services ensure compliance with FTC, GDPR, and industry-specific regulations. So while we do moderate content, we're looking for fraudulent reviews, slander, foul language, competitor-merchant or price references, and offensive images and videos, not the star rating. We actually encourage customers to embrace negative reviews. We did a research study with Northwestern U and found that purchase probability peaks when a product’s average star rating is between 4.2 and 4.5 (it varies a bit by product category). If the average star rating surpasses 4.5, the likelihood of purchase actually drops. The occasional negative review brings your average star rating closer to that sweet spot of 4.2-4.5 – actually potentially increasing sales. This is especially important with younger shoppers, since 44% of Gen Z would not trust a product that had no negative reviews (in fact, 60% read the negative ones first!). tldr: We're here to help businesses increase their conversions, but we insist on doing it honestly. Question on: Trustpilot
[Divergences between evaluations -- TrustPilot & Shopper Approved](/discussions/30388-divergences-between-evaluations-trustpilot-shopper-approved)

I find it interesting that the evaluations of a company by TrustPilot & Shopper Approved can diverge massively. See, for example this one, https://www.trustpilot.com/review/ultrasabers.com compared to this one https://www.shopperapproved.com/reviews/Ultrasabers.com . The former gives 80% of Bad, the latter 77% of five stars. These are almost exact inversions. Is this a pattern?

From what I can see the amount of reviews on Trustpilot is far less then what Shopperapproved has, so this why they look the way they do, not to say that there aren't any 1 stars one Shopperapproved. To answer the question I don't think there is a pattern but more that the unhappy customers have taken the time to make sure the reviews are on Trustpilot.

Question on: RaveCapture
[What are Kickstart Credits?](/discussions/what-are-kickstart-credits)

How do these work and what are they for?

In addition to automatic email review collection using Review Requests, you can jumpstart your review profile by inviting old or existing customers. Simply upload a file with your customer's email addresses and TrustSpot will request reviews from them. Each request uses a Kickstart Credit rather than a standard Review Request credit.
