Question on: Ahrefs
[Is Ahrefs Still Worth It in 2025? A Look at G2 User Sentiment](/discussions/is-ahrefs-still-worth-it-in-2025-a-look-at-g2-user-sentiment)

As someone who actively uses SEO tools, I've been reflecting on whether Ahrefs is still the best option in 2024—especially with its pricing increases and growing competition. 💰 Pricing Breakdown: Starter Plan: $108/month (~$1,200/year)—ideal for small businesses. Advanced Plans: $2,400 to $14,990 per year—geared toward agencies and enterprises. Some G2 users feel that Ahrefs is becoming too expensive, while others believe that its deep SEO insights still justify the cost. What G2 Users Love About Ahrefs: ✅ Accurate backlink data – One of the most extensive and reliable backlink databases. ✅ User-friendly interface – Despite its power, it's still intuitive. ✅ Comprehensive keyword research tools – Great for competitive analysis. Potential Drawbacks: ❌ Pricing concerns – Many users worry about continued price increases. ❌ Limited free tools – Some expected more from its free version. ❌ Learning curve for beginners – While intuitive, it still takes time to master. 77% of G2 reviewers gave Ahrefs a 5-star rating, which is a strong vote of confidence. However, some marketers argue that alternatives like SEMrush, Moz, or even more affordable options like Ubersuggest offer similar features at a lower price. If you're currently using Ahrefs, do you feel it's still worth the investment? Have you considered switching to another SEO tool? If so, which one? Would love to hear your thoughts—especially from those who have compared Ahrefs with other tools! Read the full article here: https://learn.g2.com/is-ahrefs-worth-it

I think Ahrefs is still “worth it” in 2025—but only for a specific type of user https://agaronline.io

Depends entirely on your use case honestly. For backlink analysis and competitor research there is nothing that comes close at this price point. The link index is genuinely fresher than Semrush in my experience — new backlinks show up days earlier. I run a deals and promo code site (https://www.snatchsavings.com ) and have it added on the free Webmaster Tools plan. Works fine for basic monitoring but I have noticed the data can feel inconsistent sometimes — organic keywords fluctuate in a way that does not always match what I see in Google Search Console. Not sure if it is a crawl delay issue or the free plan limitation. Anyone else experienced this? Curious if upgrading to a paid plan actually gives more stable data or if the underlying numbers are the same either way. For content sites and affiliate SEO the tool pays for itself if you use Site Explorer and Content Gap properly. Most people underuse it and then complain about price.

Question on: Semrush
[How are digital marketing experts utilizing Semrush to uncover unique SEO and content marketing opportunities?](/discussions/how-are-digital-marketing-experts-utilizing-semrush-to-uncover-unique-seo-and-content-marketing-opportunities)

How are digital marketing experts utilizing Semrush to uncover unique SEO and content marketing opportunities?

Keyword gap analyses are a significant use that Semrush offers and are ideal for content marketing. Understanding what keywords the target audience uses to locate marketing posts and ads is something every marketing expert wants to leverage daily.

Answered: Emmanuel Jaitto-Jeffrey on July 15, 2024

In addition to the keyword gap feature, I like the Keyword Strategy Builder. It can help you explore more areas in-depth and expand your niche with related content.

Question on: Semrush
[Does SEMrush have a free plan?](/discussions/does-semrush-have-a-free-plan)

Does SEMrush have a free plan?

Yes they have a free plan where you can add 1 website.

Answered: Bhabishya Bhatt on April 19, 2024

yes for 1 website with limited features.

Answered: janani vikiraman on June 18, 2024

Yes, SEMrush offers a free plan with limited access to its features. Users can conduct basic keyword research, track up to 10 keywords, and perform a few site audits per day. While it provides a glimpse of SEMrush’s capabilities, the free plan has restrictions compared to the premium versions.
