Information Technology and Services
Udemy Business: The only possible thing I could like about this site is the expansive selection, but this is a prime and shining example of quantity over quality.
- 👾 Reme L., Flutter Architect at 20fifty, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)
Udemy Business: The quality of courses, I have taken 2 courses with them already, the first I am pretty sure I had gotten for free, but I thought maybe it was just a more isolated case of bad author, but after taking a second I cannot see myself every returning to them, the quality of the courses were atrocious, I genuinely felt like that author came up with an idea and just hit record. In both cases the authors spent more time thinking during the recording than anything else, there was a lot of second guessing of their own work and in the more recent course the author clearly had zero clue about the Web IDE he was using and was making glaring mistakes in the code he was writing and then making comments such as 'This is probably not going to work' or 'I do not think that is right'.
- 👾 Reme L., Flutter Architect at 20fifty, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)
Computer Software
Udemy Business: The range of courses is a great things, you can find everything there.
- Yuri Henrique S., Game Developer na Gamedu, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)
Udemy Business: 1) Platform freezes, preventing one viewing a course. The billing does not freeze; 2) Request << refund >> and they give you "Udemy credit" -- for a platform that does not work.
- Andrew C., CEO at Blackheath Services, LLC, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)
Higher Education
Coursera for Business: The ability to search for classes from different Universities and decide when to take them
- Mario N., Senior R&D Scientist at Abbott Diagnostics Division, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)
Coursera for Business: I had a terrible experience with their customer support: this year I was charged for an amount substantially higher than expected for my Plus subscription, contrary to what they had written in a payment reminder of a couple of days ago. Asked for clarifications, they conceded a refund as a "one-time exception", as my payment appeared as "non refundable" in their website.
- Marco B., IT staff at Politecnico di Torino, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)
