Iguana is used for healthcare integration and interoperability. It connects systems like EHRs, labs, billing, and third-party apps so data flows smoothly between them. It supports HL7, FHIR, and other formats, giving teams full control and visibility into how messages are routed and transformed. A lot of healthcare orgs use it once they outgrow basic interfaces or need more flexibility than their current integration engine provides. In 2017, CommonWell Health Alliance announced that it would partner with Redox and other CommonWell members to build new application programming interfaces (APIs) to expand the services of its network and increase value for patients and caregivers. Now, there's a new Redox product: R^FHIR. R^FHIR now offers developers the choice to interact with FHIR while still benefiting from the standardization and normalization provided to all organizations using Redox for health data exchange.
